Students with Additional Educational Needs
Colaiste Lorcain welcomes students with additional educational needs, for whom education with their peers is central to their growth as persons in society.
We have a Special Educational Needs Policy (see below) and a specialist team of qualified teachers who support these students.
Parents / guardians of students with S.E.N. should meet with the Principal and submit all reports available to them, to enable us as a school to work with and for the student himself / herself.
S.E.N. Support may take the form of 1-2-1 teaching, small group withdrawal and / or team teaching.
The documents below may be of some support and information to parents / guardians and students themselves.
The National Council for Special Education is an important organisation for parents / guardians and schools in advising and supporting the needs of students with special educational needs www.ncse.ie
