The Board of Management of Coláste Lorcán is a sub committee of Kildare VEC. Its function is to support and manage the day to day running of our school in conjunction with the school management and staff. The Board consists of three representatives from Kildare VEC, three representatives from the Poor Sisters of the Mother of God congregation ( School Trustees), two parent representatives and two teaching staff representatives. The Board meets at least once per term where the principal's report informs the meeting. Decisions including direction to management, ratification of policies and other issues make up the business of the meeting. Under Section 29 of the Education Act 1989 all suspensions over three days and exclusions are considered by the Board and either upheld or rejected.
